“The next president needs to address the discrimination that various types of people constantly face. Muslims, African Americans, Mexicans, etc. are all looked down upon and there are even political leaders trying to kick these various groups out. That is not how a leader should solve a problem, much less the future president of the United States. The president needs to represent the Declaration of Independence and Constitution by emphasizing the statement: “all men are created equal”. People should not have to worry about others calling them “illegal” or a “terrorist” the moment they leave their homes. This is the U.S. and people should be able to see the promises the U.S. has made.: the freedoms of speech and religion. How can one hope for the nation to be changed when the very promises this nation was built on are not kept? Hopefully, the next president will revive these promises. Otherwise, the U.S. will be seen as a nation built on lies, not promises.”   ~Salman G.
