Gardening is a worldwide hobby. Many people all around the world have their own gardens on their balconies, their lawn, their backyard, etc. Aside from this being a cute addition to your backyard, gardening can also save you money. Annually, people who have their own gardens save $500 to $2,500 a year! The most common plants found in gardens are fruit trees, berry bushes, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
To begin creating your very own garden, first find a spot that gets a minimum of six hours of sun. Then, buy your preferred seeds or plants. Most beginner gardeners start with lettuce, peas, or tomatoes. After, you can go to your local Home Depot and buy yourself a couple of garden beds. Seeds are typically planted an inch deep, depending on your plant. Then water it occasionally and wait. Waiting is the hardest part for some people, but don’t be discouraged! After some time your beautiful plants will start to sprout. Once you feel you’ve become proficient at gardening, you can start to grow other types of plants.
You might be wondering, “What do I even wear?” Well, wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty: Comfortable, flexible, breathable and loose clothing. A hat would be good for covering the sun, accompanied with sunglasses. Don’t forget your sunscreen! If you can, invest in buying gloves for gardening. Just be aware of dangerous bugs and handling materials on your own.
Gardening is one of the most widespread hobbies; it’s good physically, mentally, and causes less stress or anxiety on the body. With much determination and some patience, this can be one of your new niche hobbies!
