New MARC Raffle Reward System

The new MARC raffle reward system is called “Risk It or Save It.”

What does “Risk It or Save It” mean? Students will be able to “risk” losing their raffle tickets by submitting them for the raffle drawings, or “save” up their tickets for a special item from the gift/reward closet.

Initially, students were only able to submit their raffle tickets for a chance to win one of ten slots in the raffle drawing. Winners could then choose one of five prizes:

  • Free Dress Pass
  • Front-of-the-Line-for-a-Week Pass
  • 10 Detention Words Coupon
  • Opportunity for a Field Trip
  • Special Lunch (In-N-Out)

Now, students can use their raffle tickets to get all kinds of goodies. The item possibilities are as follows:

  • 1 raffle ticket = 3 small items
  • 2 raffle tickets = 1 medium item
  • 3 raffle tickets = 1 large item

This new system will not only reward students, but also reward HMSA teachers and staff as well. Some teachers and staff members tend to give out raffle tickets more often than others, but one little fix can change that. They will be given an incentive (TBD) for awarding students more raffle tickets.

Students can come to Ms. Jordan’s office (every day after school except Wednesdays) to redeem their raffle tickets for items, or continue to submit their raffle tickets for the raffle drawing at the front office.
