Lana Del Rey In “Love” (Her New Single)

Lana Del Rey recently aired her new single “Love” on Feb. 18, 2017. Before the release, she aired live on Instagram’s live feature, where she explained what the video was about and jokingly blamed her eager fans for the early release of the song and music video. According to Del Rey, the song wasn’t going to originally air but her impatient fans couldn’t help themselves and leaked the song online. After watching the video, it can be concluded that Lana moved away from her dark winter aesthetic and blossomed into a summer rose. Talking about optimistic subjects like “love” prominently show the start of a new era for her music.

Her music video has already reached 35 million views in the past month and many fans have already fallen in love with the video. Before the release of the song, Lana Del Rey began to promote the new era with mysterious posters put up in LA on Friday, Feb. 17. According to Billboard, “fans have speculated that her new album will be titled Young and in Love, the same name of a song that was registered last month.” It’s been two years since Lana released a new song after her drop of the album Honeymoon, which was No.2 on Billboard’s 200 list.

Lana has also recently promoted her song through her various social medias: Twitter and Instagram. According to her fans, they still wish for her song “Life is Beautiful” to be featured on her new upcoming album. According to Del Rey, however, the song was mainly intended for the film, The Age of Adaline (therefore implicitly explaining she won’t release the song). Lana sang her new single “Love” at Apple Music’s branded South by Southwest venue in February. Because the video for her new single expressed positively soothing vibes, many fans expect this new album to be sweet and hopeful. For the most part Lana Del Rey has kept her new album under wraps, hopefully, she’ll give her fans more feedback on her new album: stay tuned Lanatics.
