The Shannara Chronicles – Recap: “Breakline” and “Utopia” (1×07 and 1×08)
If you are wondering what happened to Wil, Amberle and Eretria after they fell off the zip line with the Reaper, then I’ll be glad to tell you all about it today. Episode 7 of The Shannara Chronicles aired February 9, 2016.
The episode starts off with Will separated from Amberle and Eretria. Wil takes his Elfstones , but soon is frightened by an elf named Perk. Perk doesn’t have one of his ears after he gets it stolen and his friend is taken away from him by them as well. On the other side Eretria and Amberle are being followed by the same persons who stole Perk’s ear and took his friend.
In the Elven Kingdom, the Challenging is still in Eventine’s body and ordering everyone. Eventine (Challenging) orders his two sons to end the life of Dagda Mor. Then we find out that Allanon is not even dead even though he was killed in the previous episode.
Back to Amberle and Eretria, they are eventually taken captive by one of the the persons involved in Perk’s stolen ear named Zora. Wil being the hero he is , arrives much later to rescue them and Perk’s friend ends up being a bird.Wow seriously, a bird? Zora ends up shooting Eretria and leaving her injured on the ground. Wil and Amberle leave Eretria to save themselves. Will this be the end of Eretria? I hope not because I’m thrilled to learn more about this love triangle going on. Although it is kind of rude of Wil and Amberle to just leave her there.
Meanwhile, Arion and Ander go and try to defeat Dagda Mor, the demon as they were commanded. Arion ends up dying when trying to show his capacity in defeating the demon. Allanon coming back from the death helps Ander and Bandon. Oh, and if you didn’t know, at this point they know that the Challenging is the one in Eventine’s body. Ander unlike his brother is successful in killing a demon and kills the Challenging. With Arion dead and Eventine dead as well, Ander automatically becomes the King of the Elven Kingdom.
Now we get to episode 8 of The Shannara Chronicles, which aired February 16, 2016. While, Amberle and Wil are out there alone with their romance, Eretria is bought by some some man named Tai because as mentioned before she was taken captive unlike Wil and Amberle. Wil and Amberle end up finding Eretria in a village, but are soon captivated again when the people /trolls in the the village find out who they are. Being from the Elven kingdom means that Wil and Amberle can serve of great value to them. Eretria’s step father, Amberle and Wil are all tied up. I have totally lost count about the times they have been captivated to be honest. The trolls still not letting go Wil Amberle , and Eretria’s step father, Eretria’s step father ,who had stolen the Elfstones before they rescued Eretria tries to convince the trolls of letting him go. He shows them the bag of Elfstones, but the trolls see that in the inside of the bag there isn’t any Elfstones.
However, Eretria uses her beauty and cleverness to get Tai’s gun ,which Tye had showed her how to use earlier. Eretria distracts him by kissing him and therefore taking advantage. Eretria uses the gun to shoot them, which by saying them I’m referring to the trolls. Fortunately, they are able to escape from those ugly trolls. Eretria’s step father is left wounded and dies, but they continue their path.
