Are you looking for something thrilling and full of adventure to watch in your free time? Have you ever seen a series, where they have elves, demons, and trolls in one? The Shannara Chronicles, an exciting new series on MTV will surely keep you glued to your seat. This new series combined and aired episode one and two on January 5th, 2016 on Tuesday at 10 p.m.

In the opening scene Amberle Elessedil, who we later find out is the princess of the Elven Kingdom and is half-elf and half-human, is training to be one of the seven Chosen to take care of the Ellcrys. You must be wondering what the Ellcrys is? Well the Ellcrys is a tree very important because it contains all the bad demons like Dagada Mor where they are placed in the Forbidding. The only problem is that Amberle is the first woman to ever participate, but at the end comes out victorious. Amberle that same day touches the Ellcrys and has unpleasant visions of the future and only Amberle is able to see these visions. Amberle unable to take this anymore, later runs away and nobody in the Elven Kingdom knows her whereabouts.

As the story continues, we also find out about Wil Ohmsford, a half-elf and half-human too ,who is saying his final goodbyes to his dying mother. Before his mother dies, she gives Wil  three Elfstones, which belonged to his father. Wil not knowing what the Elfstones are other than having some type of power, Wil  decides to travel to Storlock even though his Uncle Flick warns him how dangerous the Elfstones can be. While traveling there, Wil is attacked by a huge troll,who likes to eat elves. Wil is then rescued by Eretria, but Wil not knowing her real intentions, trusts her. Eretria is a human ,who is forced to steal to satisfy her step father,who is the leader of the Rovers. Eretria takes Wil to her “house” and once there Wil mentions the Elfstones to Eretria. Eretria gives Wil a drink, which eventually makes him fall asleep.

The next morning Wil is awaken by Allanon and notices that Eretria has robbed him and taken the Elfstones. Eretria takes the Elfstones to her step father, who tells her that he will let her free if she brings him back the person whom the elf stones belong to.

It was previously explained that Allanon  is a  human, who has woken up from a a very long sleep and has gone to inform Eventine Elessedil, the ruler of the Elven Kingdom and Amberle’s grandfather about how the Ellcrys is dying. If the Ellcrys is weakened more, more demons will be liberated from  the Forbidding. Allanon asks Wil to come with him to try to find a way to keep the Ellcrys alive and Wil decides to go with him because Allanon assures him that his help is also needed. Allanon takes Wil to the Druid  Keep at Paranor, where they become aware that only the Chosen are able to save the Ellcrys. Since the demons like the Challenging have killed the other six Chosen, Wil and Allanon’s only option is Amberle. Allanon and Wil decide to look for Amberle at Pyria’s house and once there she informs them about her location. Pyria is also revealed to be Eventine Elessedil’s sister. Allanon sends Wil to look for her there while Allanon stays to talk to Pyria. Allanon and Pyria used to have a romance,which she is still hurt about. Wil finds Amberle ,but Amberle at first doesn’t trust Will.

Amberle and Wil hear a noise and see that one of the demons named Fury is attacking Pyria and rips her to pieces from a high cliff. Episode one and two ends as Fury descends from the high cliff and heads to attack Amberle, which Wil stops by getting in front and trying to protect her.
