As February rolls in, the HMSA boys’ Volleyball team makes their preparations for the new season. The opening game’s location is at Leuzinger High School on February 19, 2025 at 3:15pm. Varsity’s game is first, with JV’s following shortly after at 4:30pm. 

The boys have high hopes for this season, with returning players such as seniors Jadon Brown, Brian Konyeaso, Dheeraj Bisht, Jose Cano, Jordan Canizales, Bryan Baires, and Ibrahim Khan. Additionally, there are some new underclassmen who have been promoted to Varsity such as: Eleazar Perez, Jorge Medrano, and Matthew Schmidt. 

Some general goals the team has for this season are to win the Coastal League Championship, improve team chemistry, and their performance. Some people on the team even believe that they can go as far as winning CIF. 

When Coach Stacy was asked what his general expectations for the season were, he said, “I would like for us to win the coastal league and to make sure that all my players improve.”

Overall the team is excited for the upcoming games and are striving for an extraordinary season. If you have the time, go watch a game, the boys would really appreciate your support.
