New Music Friday – Week 2

Andrea Macias, Staff Writer

Kalin and Myles released their new self-titled debut album on November 20, 2015. This album includes 12 songs, which mainly keep the melody that this pop/rap duo is known for, but also has a slightly different twist as well. Some songs that are worth listening to are Out My Mind, 808, Curfew Overtime, Brokenhearted and Do What You Do.

The songs Out My Mind and 808 are the most upbeat songs on this album, which give it some variety by adding an EDM type of sound. On the contrary, the songs Curfew Overtime and Brokenhearted  sound much like the songs Kalin and Myles have released in the past. Lastly, the song Do What You Do has a very different type of melody than from all the rest of the  songs on this album because it tells an inspiring message for everyone. Overall, this album was definitely worth the wait and has made fans eager for future albums to come.
