5 Restaurants in the LA County That’s a MUST Try!
November 7, 2017
Food: a topic that you can go on and on about. Food is a universal topic and something people really enjoy and appreciate. Whether you like burgers, salad, chicken ramen, or dessert only, these are the best 5 places to satisfy your cravings!
- Rock and Brews
Located in El Segundo, California, Rock and Brews is an American restaurant founded by the members of KISS. The restaurant offers anything from burgers, salads, macaroni and cheese, chicken wings, ribs, steak platters, and more! There is even a mini playpen for children at this specific location. The worst time to go is in the evening, because many people like to go out to eat after work. El Segundo happens to have many business headquarters, such as NYX, Mattel, and Airline companies. Rock and Brews also previews old videos of the band. If you’re a fan, you should definitely look into it. Sometimes, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons visit the locations. Rock and Brews provides you with both good food and some great entertainment.
- Rolling Zone Creamery
Rolled ice cream has become very popular in the United States. With rolled ice cream, customers are able to see how their chosen flavor is mixed and rolled into the finished product they desire to eat! Isn’t that fun? RZC is located in Lawndale, California. Check it out! The Matcha-Matcha is amazing! In case you don’t know what the flavor is, it’s green tea flavored. Their ice cream already comes with toppings, but of course you could add more for about $.50 – $1.00. The prices range from about $6.99-$7.99. Another favorite flavor of mine is Cookies and Cream. You can never do this flavor wrong. The Cookies and Cream comes with about 5 rolls, an oreo, a chocolate wafer, and whipped cream. The base that they use to make the ice cream is so creamy and delicious, you’ll be wanting more. Lastly, there was another flavor I tried called Chocolate Explosion. Chocolate Explosion consists of the same creamy base, brownies, and caramel. These are then mixed all together, and topped with caramel, whipped cream, a chocolate wafer, a brownie, and a toasted marshmallow. Make sure you have water after this treat though, because it’s really sweet!
- JINYA Ramen Bar
For my ramen lovers, here you go. And for those of you who don’t know what real ramen is, I recommend this place to you. When you think of ramen, you probably think of the packaged, square ones you get for $.25 at the grocery store. The ramen served here, is definitely the opposite of that. The ramen is served fresh from the pot, with real chunks of meat. Trust me, once you try authentic ramen, you’ll have a hard time eating the processed ramen! There are a few locations: Santa Monica, Hollywood, and Burbank. There are spicy chicken ramen, pork ramen, garlic flavored ramen, and more. The spicy chicken ramen is very appetizing!
- BJ’s Brewhouse
At BJ’s you can have anything from a burger to a salad to some pasta. One of the most popular desserts BJ’s offers is the Pizookie. It is a cookie with ice cream on top. Pizookie flavors consist of Oreo, Snickerdoodle (which is seasonal), Churro, and more. To start small, a simple Chocolate Chip Pizookie is the way to go. BJ’s also makes their own root beer! The BJ’s Del Amo location has a free outdoor parking lot. The best time to go would be during a weekday, since many families like to go to the Del Amo Mall, then dine after.
- Public School
This restaurant is a fun restaurant to go because it’s school themed. The menu is a composition notebook and/or a test scantron. The best time to go is in the morning for breakfast or for brunch. The chef also has a French roast special. Themes vary each day, one day the theme is strawberry shortcake, another day is churro French toast. You never know what you’ll get! PS is located in Culver City, Los Angeles, and Sherman Oaks.
Of the 5, my favorite has to be #5, Public School. I enjoy the anticipation of waiting to figure out what the chef’s special of the day is. The Churro French Toast is absolutely delicious!
I hope this article helps you figure where you would like to eat. Bon appetit, mes amis!
