Many music artists are on the rise of stardom. Just a few who have caught the public’s eye are Post Malone, Skrillex, and Kalin & Myles.

Post Malone, a 20-year-old American rapper and singer from Dallas, Texas, has earned most of his recognition from his latest song “White Iverson”. Even though the song was released in February of 2015, it has recently started to get played on popular radio stations like 102.7 Kiss FM and Power 106. The genre that Post Malone mainly focuses on is rap. Post Malone’s career in music began in 2014.

Skrillex, a 27-year-old American DJ from Highland Park, California has recently gained popularity by collaborating with Justin Bieber on the song “Sorry”. Skrillex has been a music artist for 7 years. The genre of Skrillex’s music is EDM (electronic dance music) and club/dance music but now he is transitioning to a more pop-like sound and is gaining a larger audience.

Kalin & Myles is a hip hop and pop duo, which consists of Kalin White (20 years old) and Myles Parrish (23 years old), from San Francisco, California. They’ve been music artists for 4 years and their song that gained the most recognition was “Trampoline”, which has over 9,000,000 views on Youtube. Their next album is expected to be released November 20, 2015.

With new music artists getting their share of the limelight, comes the question: Do they have the potential to keep it?
