A True Easter Celebration
Spring is here, which means there will be more bright sunshine, colorful flowers, and most importantly… Easter! Many people celebrate this cheerful festivity by going on hunts to find the eggs that the “Easter Bunny” hid in the backyard or by eating some delicious bunny-themed treats.
Even celebrities find their own activities to do for this special day:

I used to make Easter baskets every year. I need to start doing that again. Any basket ideas? I miss doing this type of stuff

Children and adults love seeing the bunny-and-chick decorations that appear during this time, but do they know the true reason for Easter? There are many beliefs.
According to Omnibus, “Easter” is derived from “Eostre.” Eostre is the name of the goddess of Spring and Dawn.
Christians believe Easter Sunday is the day when Jesus resurrected. According to Catholic Culture, Catholics begin Easter with 40 days of Lent and also celebrate various other special days aside from Easter Sunday. Mormons celebrate Easter by holding a large, annual pageant.
According to The Jehovah Witness, Jehova’s Witnesses do not celebrate Easter because there is no record of it in their holy text. However, they do believe in Jesus’s resurrection. People of Jewish faith do not celebrate Easter either; however, Jews celebrate Passover. People of Muslim faith do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. They do not believe in his murder or resurrection; therefore, Muslims do not celebrate Easter.
To live Easter means to enter into the mystery of Jesus who died and rose for us.

It doesn’t matter how you celebrate Easter (or if you do at all), as long as you enjoy the day!
