American Horror Story: Hotel – Recap: “Battle Royale” (05×11)
It’s been awhile since the last episode of AHS: Hotel. I guess FX decided to take a break and wait about two weeks until the new episode, which was aired on January 6, 2016. Looking back to last episode, we saw Liz Taylor and Iris shoot both The Countess and her lover Donovan. In this new episode we were able to see Iris and LIz prepare themselves to shoot them. Once they began to “go for the kill”, Iris immediately stops shooting because she was killing her son Donovan. Liz Taylor demands to go after The Countess who did not yet die, she escaped the scene. Iris, being a loving mother, refused to leave. Donovan was smart enough to insist that his mother take him outside, or else he would be trapped in the hotel forever. After being taken outside by Liz and Iris, his last word were mother. “aw”, maybe he finally realized his mom always loved him. Later on we find out The Countess is alive and Sally was saving her.
We get a little information on Sally’s past. We also see John with his wife, they are planning to leave the Hotel, with their son. Sally, of course, doesn’t want John to leave because she is in love with him. She try’s to kill him so that they can live together in the hotel forever. Sally fails in her attempt. We are taken back to The Countess when Sally brings in The Countess’s children. Sally knows The Countess needs more blood to recover, so she brings in the kids so that she could feed on her own blood. Liz and Iris are scared of The Countess still roaming the Hotel, so they decided to free miss Ramona. She agrees to help Liz and Iris to kill The Countess. Ramona needs something to feed on, luckily for her a witch Queenie, goes to the Hotel. If you remember she was from AHS Coven, another pretty good season. Liz gives her a room, and Queenie wants a different room since she can sense the bad aura in the room. They convince Queenie to stay. She decides to go into the bathroom, where Ramona is waiting for her, at first Ramona is losing because Queenie is a living Vodu doll. March later comes in to kill Queenie for Ramona, Queenie is doomed because James March is already dead. All of John’s family is back in the house, but as he comes back home from the store, Sally has kidnapped his kids. Later Ramona talks with The Countess. Later they make a deal that The Countess leaves and Ramona stays with the Hotel. Later as The Countess is about to leave, John kills her. That was John’s last kill. Once again Sally tries to kill John, but James March still needs him. We also figure out that The Countess is trapped in the hotel, and that the maid called the police to die with James March. This is how our episode ends, with crazy killings.
