iCarly Stars: Where Are They Now?

March 9, 2017

iCarly was a show that many people enjoyed because of its creative episodes. The creator of the show, Dan Schneider (who also created shows like Drake and Josh, Zoey 101 and Victorious), demonstrated a distinct way of showcasing a weird, yet entertaining persona, through these shows. Fabricating words such as “cotton swabs” and foods called “spaghetti tacos” kept viewers entertained to a point where the show received 4 million viewers per episode! Since the show is no longer on television, you’re probably wondering where the people who played the main characters of Carly, Sam, and Freddie have been. Here we go!

Miranda Cosgrove (Carly) is now 23 years old. The last movie she was in was released in 2015. She will be one of the voices in Despicable Me 3, having also stared in the first two movies in this series. She announced the news on February 23. Based on what she posts on her Instagram account, she absolutely adores animals. I mean, who doesn’t? There’s a cute video of a dog on a swing at the park, a photo of a giraffe, and several other photos of a dog that is most likely hers.

Jennette McCurdy (Sam) is now 24 years old. It’s so cute how her and Miranda are actually best friends in real life. Her most recent movie is called Pet and it was released last year. Her amusing, witty captions for her Instagram posts definitely reflect her character, Sam, on iCarly. She posted a photo of her bruised knee with the caption,”karma got me back for all those times I didn’t buy the bruised banana.” Her personality on social media surely seems like the Sam we know.

Nathan Kress (Freddie) is now 24 years old. Guess what, ladies? He’s off the market. Yes, our little Freddie Benson is all grown up and married. The entire cast reunited at the wedding, too! The last movie Nathan starred in is called Into the Storm, released in 2014. According to his posts on Instagram, Nathan seems to be enjoying his life as a married man, his wife is all over his insta! How cute, right! He also seems to be a family oriented person. He uploaded a video of a “#FamilyNerfWar.”

I’m getting a little nostalgic after writing about my childhood stars’ adult lives. It is so crazy how life changes in an instant. Life is too short. If you want to be a dog lover, do it. If you want to have Family Nerf Wars, do it. Also, if you want to lurk on Miranda’s, Jennette’s, and Nathan’s Instagram accounts, you can do that too.
