The new airpods are wireless earphones that were released  at the same time as the new iphone 7 and iphone 7 plus. It can be used for an apple watch, mac, ipad, and iphone. They are $159.00 each pair.

While they are the improved version of my regular old earphones, I would still prefer to use my earphones. Airpods can be an inconvenience, because it is so easy to misplace them. They also look ridiculous. It looks like you are wearing an antenna. The sound quality might be better and it has more uses such as using siri, but  I can still use Siri with my regular iphone 6 that contains a headjack.

Apple did not include a headphone jack in the new iphone 7 but a lightning connector instead to manipulate people to purchase the airpods. Yes, the regular common earphones has it’s disadvantages such as getting tangled up easily, but you will never  have to worry about losing one ear bud. With the airpods, you have to worry about charging in a charging case that is provided with the pods. What will happen if you lose that case? What will you do now?

The airpods are fairly similar to a normal set of bluetooth headphones. The pods have about the same quality as the free set of earphones that come with most iphone purchases. I think the pods are overpriced when the quality isn’t thoroughly improved from my free set of earphones.

Bluetooth headphones and wireless headphones have been released before and not many of them have been hyped like Apple’s airpods. Why is that?
