On November 28th, 1990, the beloved Disney animation, DuckTales, aired their last episode. This Saturday, it will be 25 years since the last DuckTales episode was aired.

DuckTales was an animated series that went on for three seasons. It was broadcasted on Disney Afternoon, and was a staple to 80s and 90s kids everywhere. DuckTales told the story of Donald Duck’s three nephews: Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The three boys are left in the care of their money-loving uncle, Scrooge McDuck. Not entirely sure on how to raise the boys, Scrooge has the help of Mrs. Beakley, the household nanny. Along with the nanny comes her granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack. Webby become best friends with the rest of the boys and together, along with Scrooge, the entire group go on adventures.

Every episode of DuckTales tells a whole new adventure. Due to Scrooge McDuck’s wealth, he faces many rivals. Many of Scrooge’s rivals try to take his wealth and take away his title of “Wealthiest Duck”. The main rivals that the group faces are known as the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell.

Although DuckTales aired their last episode almost 25 years ago, reruns of the series can be found on DisneyXD. Also, Disney has announced that an all new version of the show will come back in 2017. Will we see Huey, Dewey, and Louie again? Or will they all be grown up? We won’t be able to know until next year, but for now we can just continue watching reruns of DuckTales.
