Dear Beautiful Boy

Dear Beautiful boy,

How do you do?

Is the ocean breeze still running through your beautiful hair?

Are your eyes still the same as the oceans?

Beautiful blue as the tides, but a beautiful gray when the sun hits it perfectly.

Beautiful boy, do you still sleep under the stars?

Do you still dream of swimming in space, seeing what no man has ever seen?

Tell me, are you the same as last summer?

Or did you change with the tides?

Beautiful boy, when will I see you again? or will you visit my dreams once more?

Will you come and hold me, taking me away to California’s sand?

Beautiful boy, will I see you this summer?

Will I get to hold you in the cold ocean water?

Or will you leave me in the rain again?

The rain that washed away what we had, bringing the end of us.

Will it beautiful boy?

Beautiful boy, when will I get engulfed in your embrace once more?

Or do I have to wash you away once again?

Beautiful boy, you said we’ll run away.

And I have been patiently waiting for your return

But it seems you ran without me

Till next summer beautiful boy.
