The Girls Soccer Team started off their season with a blast! Evidence is seen in their game against Serra. The Girls Soccer Team  played Serra on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. The Girls Soccer Team trained hard all this month and their hard work paid off in the game. The girls went out, played aggressive, communicated, and  most importantly, worked as a team.

After coming back from Thanksgiving Break, the Girls Soccer Team was met with three games and only one practice until their next games. Though the idea was daunting, they were really excited and justifiably nervous about the game.

When the game started, the defense was put to the test, Serra started off with a massive offensive move. However, later on in the game, the Aviators were able to get the ball on the other side of the field and play more offensive. Giselle B. was on a roll during the game and scored 2 crucial goals during the first half. Celine S. scored the other goal with a centered ball.

During the second half of the game, the defense started getting busier back in their side of the field, but they kept pressuring the offense and passing the ball to the forwards. Only two goals got inside our net, which was pretty good because most of the attacks were covered and they didn’t get as many opportunities. Goalkeeper, Esli G., did a great job and blocked most of the shots she received.

Overall, the team had a magnificent performance. They communicated, played hard, and never gave up. Mr. Kircher was really proud of the girls and told them at the end of their game,” I think we did great for our first game!” He’s proud that the girls started off the season this good because all they will do with practice is get better and that means that the girls would be a challenge to many teams out there.

On the rest of their games that week, the girls also played hard and tied on the game on Wednesday, against RHP, and a loss on their game against Pacific Christian. This week, the girls have three games as well and ended up with a victory on Tuesday, Dec.r 6, with the score of 3-1.

Overall, the girls have been doing fantastic on the field and are ready for many more challenges this year. They are coming out extra motivated this year because the whole team motivates each other and helps each other out. After all, that’s what teams are for right?

Although the game wasn’t a league game, the girls, Mr. Kircher, and Ms. Vazquez are really proud of their work in the game and they are sure this will be a good season with a lot of fun and more victories.
